Close: 24219.05<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>18th August High Tested, But Sustainability Falters &#8211;<\/strong> Nifty continues to test the 18th August high, but the index is struggling to sustain above the crucial level, indicating a lack of follow-through momentum. A decisive and sustained breakout above this level could strengthen the recovery and pave the way for further upside, while repeated failure to hold above it may keep the index within a consolidation phase. Traders are advised to remain cautious until a clear breakout is established.<\/p>\n<p>Amid mixed trends across overseas markets, the Nifty is likely to witness a muted opening. After the initial hour of trade, the index may shift into a consolidation phase with a mixed bias, while stock specific activity is expected to remain prominent.<\/p>\n<p>The Nifty\u2019s core trading range is likely to remain between 24100 and 24400. A decisive break on either side could trigger further movement towards 24000 or 24500, respectively.<\/p>\n<p>From a positional perspective, investors may adopt a Buy-on-Dips strategy, with 23700 remaining the key deciding zone. This level has repeatedly attracted strong buying interest and has been followed by price movements of over 4% on several occasions.
