Close: 23897.70

Amid mixed signals from major overseas markets, the Indian benchmark indices are likely to begin the session on a flat to mildly negative note.

For the remaining part of the day, Nifty may witness range-bound activity between 23,700 and 24,000.

However, broad-based market activity could emerge as Nifty approaches our key interim behaviour shift zone near 23,700. This zone may attract meaningful buying demand and could potentially trigger a sharp rebound.

Nevertheless, until Nifty decisively breaks above the immediate as well as psychological resistance at 24,000, every recovery attempt may face selling pressure. Therefore, a Sell-On-Rise approach may remain appropriate within the prevailing range.

Even if Nifty manages to move above 24,000, the levels of 24,100 and 24,200 are likely to act as the next immediate resistance barriers.

Conversely, a decisive break below the core support at 23,700, followed by a sustained move below this level for around an hour, could trigger fresh selling pressure. In such a scenario, 23,600 may act as an immediate minor support for the day.

From a positional perspective, Nifty may continue to swing within the broader 23,700 to 24,700 range until it delivers a decisive close beyond either side of this range.

A close below 23,700 for two consecutive sessions could indicate the formation of a fresh negative swing, potentially opening the way for further weakness towards 23,500 and subsequently 23,100.

On the other hand, if Nifty continues to hold the key interim behaviour shift zone at 23,700 without a decisive break or close below it, it may indicate renewed buying interest and accumulation at lower levels. This could eventually trigger an attempt towards 24,700.

Only a strong and sustained series of consecutive closes above the core behaviour shift zone at 24,700 would provide a meaningful confirmation of a broader bullish breakout. Such a development could potentially pave the way for a further 1,500 to 2,000 point upward rally over the subsequent phase.

Sectoral Focus

Oil&Gas, IT, Energy, Metal, Auto, Pharma.

Stocks To Watch

JSW Steel, Lupin, Rail Vikas Nigam, Mazagon Dock Ship Builders, Lemon Tree Hotels, Prime Focus, Chance Life Sciences.

Follow strong stoploss discipline on all trades.

Wishing everyone a fortune day ahead!

*gwcindia.in/disclaimer/

Nifty Prev.
