The index may witness a sharp move once this consolidation resolves.<\/p>\n<p>A sustained hold above the swing support could trigger a recovery towards the immediate resistance zone, while a decisive breakdown may intensify selling pressure and open the way for the next leg of correction. Hence, traders should closely monitor the support zone for confirmation of the next directional move.<\/p>\n<p>Nifty is expected to open lower despite mixed tendencies from global equities. As the session progresses, the index may turn cautious with fragile bouncing attempts that may lead it to move towards 23300 to 23400 levels, provided it sustains above the September 15 low. However, a decisive breakdown below the stipulated support could increase the risk of further sliding towards 22800.<\/p>\n<p>Positionally, the bearish undertone is likely to persist as long as Nifty remains below the 23700 Behavioural Shift Zone. Rallies may continue to attract selling pressure, potentially extending the ongoing correction. A sustained breakout above 23700 would indicate a shift in market behaviour, while failure to reclaim this zone may keep the index volatile within the 23000\u201323700 range.
