Pressure Builds – Nifty witnessed a decisive weak close near its core support zone, keeping the near-term undertone cautious. The inability to sustain higher levels may continue to attract selling pressure, particularly if the index fails to hold the support zone in the coming sessions. A sustained break below the core support could extend the weakness towards the next support levels, while a firm hold may encourage a technical recovery.

The benchmark indices are anticipated to begin with a cautious note despite mixed signals from international markets. The remaining day’s movement may largely depend on Nifty’s ability to sustain yesterday’s low. A breakdown below this level could trigger extended selling pressure, potentially marking the formation of a fresh leg of the downward move, with 22800 as its next downside target.

Conversely, if the index manages to hold the stipulated support zone, a sharp rebound towards 23200 to 23300 cannot be ruled out, which traders may utilise to reduce existing holdings.

Sell-on-Rise may continue to remain the prominent trading strategy.

From a positional perspective, the bearish undertone is likely to remain intact as long as Nifty trades below the 23,700 Behavioural Shift Zone. Rallies towards this zone may continue to attract selling pressure and prolong the corrective phase.

A sustained breakout above 23700 would be required for a meaningful shift in market behaviour. Until Nifty decisively reclaims this zone, volatility may persist within the broader 23000 to 23700 range. A decisive break beyond this range could subsequently open the way towards 22700 on the downside or 24000 on the upside.

Sectoral Focus

Bank, Finance, Oil&Gas, Metal, Auto, IT.

Stocks To Watch

Axis Bank, Bajaj Finance, ICICI Lombard General Insurance, L&T Technology Services, FSN E-commerce Ventures, PB Fintech, Dr. Lal Path Labs, HDFC Life Insurance.

Maintain a concrete stoploss discipline across all trades.

Wishing everyone a opportunistic day!

*gwcindia.in/disclaimer/

Nifty Prev.
