Unless the index manages to reclaim the immediate resistance zone, the near-term bias is likely to remain cautious to bearish. A decisive move above the key resistance would be required to signal a meaningful recovery, while failure to hold the immediate support may invite further downside.

The benchmark indices are likely to begin the day on a flat note with a weak bias, despite mixed signals from global markets. The day’s movement may largely depend on the Nifty’s ability to hold 22500 as its immediate and psychological support. If sustained, a fragile bounce towards 22700 may be witnessed. However, failure to hold 22500 could attract further selling pressure, dragging the index towards 22200, which remains a core support zone and could determine the next major directional move.

Traders are advised to continue adopting a Sell-on-Rise strategy during bounce attempts until the index signals a decisive recovery by sustaining a close above the 23000 zone.

From a positional perspective, investors may consider allocating a portion of their planned long-term capital towards fundamentally sound and technically attractive stocks as the Nifty almost approaches 22200, preferably through a staggered accumulation strategy. However, until the index decisively closes above 23700, our Interim Behaviour Shift Zone, every rise may be viewed as an opportunity to reduce positions for short to medium term investors.

Sectoral Focus

Bank, Finance, Defence, Realty, Pharma, Oil&Gas.

Stocks To Watch

Tech Mahindra, Aurobindo Pharma, Solar Industries, ICICI Lombard General Insurance, NCC, Highway Infrastructure, Lemon Tree Hotels, Apollo Hospitals, Prestige Estates.

Maintain a concrete stoploss strategy across all trades.

Wishing everyone a favorable day!

*gwcindia.in/disclaimer/

Nifty Prev.
