Nifty Retreats as Bulls Lose Grip – The Nifty 50 turns cautious and fragile after ending the week on a negative note, following two consecutive higher closes. The near-term bias has shifted slightly bearish, with a Sell-on-Rise approach preferred unless the index reclaims key resistance levels.

As long as the Nifty 50 holds 23,800 as an immediate support, it has the potential to move higher toward 24,100. A decisive breakout above this level may further extend the rally toward 24,200. However, a break below 23,800 could drag the index toward the 23,700 zone.
From a positional viewpoint, as long as the Nifty 50 sustains below the April 22 low, it is likely to continue witnessing selling pressure in the near term. A bullish shift would require the index to reclaim 24,500 with consecutive daily closes. Until then, traders are advised to trim long positions on meaningful pullbacks and avoid aggressive bets. The 24,700 level remains a key behavioral shift zone, and a decisive move above it would confirm the next uptrend.
