A flat to positive opening is anticipated for the benchmark indices at the start of the week, in line with neutral cues from global markets. As the session progresses, the Nifty may turn volatile within a broad range of 22300 to 22700. A decisive break from this range could determine the next directional move, with 22200 emerging as the immediate downside target and 22800 as the upside target.
Traders are advised to remain cautious and closely monitor key support and resistance levels for directional confirmation before initiating fresh positions.
From a positional perspective, the Nifty has entered a renewed bearish zone, with a decisive close below 22180 potentially confirming the next phase of correction. Such a breakdown could expose the index to 21800, followed by 21300 if the former support fails to hold.
Despite the prevailing bearish undertone, long-term investors may consider deploying their planned capital in a staggered manner, focusing on fundamentally strong and technically attractive stocks. A disciplined accumulation strategy during market weakness could provide opportunities for long-term wealth creation.
