Nifty Weakens Further; Another Leg Down? – Nifty has recorded its weakest close since March 2026, signalling a further deterioration in its behavioural structure and strengthening the possibility of a fresh leg of downward correction. The decisive breach of the stipulated swing low indicates that selling pressure remains dominant, with intermittent recoveries likely to attract selling interest.

It is a crucial day for the markets, with the potential to determine the next directional move amid persistent weakness. Despite mixed global cues, the benchmark indices are likely to open marginally higher. However, after the initial hours of trade, the Nifty may turn volatile with a weak bias, potentially drifting towards yesterday’s low, which serves as its immediate support. A decisive break below this level could drag the index towards 22000, while a sustained breach of this crucial support may intensify selling pressure and expose further downside.

On the upside, 22400 is likely to act as an immediate resistance zone, where intermittent selling pressure may emerge. A decisive breakout above this level could open the door for a move towards 22500, which is expected to pose a stronger resistance.

Traders are advised to remain cautious and closely monitor key support and resistance levels for directional confirmation.

From a positional perspective, Nifty has entered a renewed bearish zone, with a close below 22180 potentially confirming the next phase of correction. Such a move could expose the index to 21800, followed by 21300 if the former fails to hold. Given the prevailing behaviour, investors may moderately deploy their planned capital through a staggered accumulation strategy, focusing on fundamentally sound and technically attractive stocks for long-term wealth creation.
