Upside Intent Emerges, but Buying Conviction Remains Weak. – Nifty may exhibit a tentative upward bias, reflecting an emerging willingness to move higher. However, the lack of sustained follow-through buying could limit the recovery and keep the index vulnerable to selling pressure near immediate resistance levels. A decisive breakout backed by stronger buying participation is essential to reinforce bullish momentum, while failure to sustain higher levels may lead to renewed consolidation or downside pressure.

The Nifty is likely to open mildly lower with a weak bias amid mixed global cues. The index may remain volatile within the 22600 to 22,900 range, with a sustained breakout above resistance potentially extending the recovery towards 23000 to 23100. However, a lack of follow-through buying could keep the index in consolidation or trigger renewed weakness towards the 22500 to 22400 support zone.

Traders are advised to remain cautious during recovery attempts, as interim rebounds may offer opportunities to reduce existing long positions or initiate fresh short positions at appropriate levels, subject to clear price confirmation.

From a positional perspective, a sustained move above the recent swing level of 23150 remains crucial to strengthening the recovery outlook. While improving momentum could gradually pave the way towards 23700, the rebound still requires consistent buying interest and follow-through to establish a stronger upward bias. Failure to sustain key support levels could revive downside pressure and weaken the recovery attempt.
