The opening trend for the market is likely to align closely with the sentiment stemming from the recently concluded state election results, while also tracking weak global cues. The day’s subsequent movement may further reflect the underlying strength and continuity of the prevailing trend influenced by the election outcome.

For the day, holding above the 25,800 mark could provide a cushion for traders to initiate long positions, with potential upside targets placed at 26,000 and 26,100. However, failure to sustain above this level may invite mild profit booking, opening room for a decline toward 25,700 and subsequently 25,600, as key support zones.

From a positional viewpoint, as long as Nifty holds above 25,365 on a daily closing basis, the index is expected to retain its upward potential, with scope to retest 26,100 and possibly extend further gains.

Sectoral indices like Bank, Finance, IT, Pharma, Metal, Realty, and FMCG may play a vital role in moving markets today.

For an increased trading opportunities, day traders may focus on Tata Motors Commercial Vehicles, Eicher Motors, Hero Motocorp, Muthoot Finance, Samvardhana Motherson International, Alkem Laboratories, Voltas, Apollo Tyres, Bharat Dynamics, and Vishal Mega Mart stocks.

Companies such as Siemens, Marico, Oil India, Glenmark Pharma, Max Healthcare, MRF, Natco Pharma, Exide Industries, Sun TV Networl, Brainbees Solutions, and BASF are releasing their September quarter earnings today.

Traders are advised to maintain a strict stop loss on all transactions.

Wishing everyone a fortune day!
