Pre-Market Outlook – 08.04.2026

Amid cheerful cues in international markets, Nifty is poised to open with a huge Gap-Up. The index is expected to remain volatile throughout the session, trading within a broad range. Sustaining above 23,700 on an hourly basis could provide room for further upward move towards 24000 zone. However, failure to hold 23700 may lead to a pullback towards the 23300 region, where buying interest could emerge, resulting in a bounce towards immediate resistance levels.

As per our behavioural study, the index has successfully closed above the March 23 high of 22,851 for two consecutive sessions, which conceptually supports the case for a structural upside. Conservative traders may wait for meaningful retracements to initiate long positions and consider booking profits near the identified resistance zones. Traders with higher risk appetite may look to enter at current levels, adopting a Buy-on-Dips strategy to enhance trading opportunities.

From a positional standpoint, a decisive and sustained move above 23,700 is essential to confirm a broader uptrend. Until then, the index is likely to witness range-bound movements within the 22,700 and 23,700 band.
