Pre-Market Outlook – 29.01.2026

Bounce Without Belief – Nifty saw a recovery bounce, but the move lacks conviction and appears largely technical. Absence of follow-through buying keeps the undertone cautious. Until a decisive breakout occurs, sell-on-rise may prevail with selective participation.

The opening trend for Nifty is expected to be weak despite mixed cues from global markets. Volatility may persist, with every rise likely to attract selling unless the index decisively closes above 25365 on a higher timeframe (1 hour). Even then, 25449 could act as a an immediate hurdle.
On the downside, a break below 25150 may trigger fresh selling pressure, dragging the index towards 25000, followed by 24900.

From a positional standpoint, Nifty must close above 25740 to revive the bull run. A drop below 24900 could drag it to 24700, a key behavioural shift zone where the next directional call may emerge.
